Abstract Attacks using animal pathogens can have devastating socioeconomic, public health and national security consequences. The livestock sector has some inherent vulnerabilities which put it at risk to the deliberate or accidental spread of disease. growing concern countries about risks agro-terrorism agro-crime led efforts prepare against potential attacks. One recent international effort is launch a joint OIE, FAO INTERPOL project in 2019 build resilience targeting with financial support Weapons Threat Reduction Programme Global Affairs Canada. Given importance strong surveillance systems for early effective response agro-crime, will use Surveillance Evaluation Tool (SET) its new Biothreat Detection Module evaluate beneficiary countries’ capacities detect criminal terrorist events.
